In this Learning Process series I explore and reflect on the learning process during an educational doctorate (EdD) beginning in late summer 2025. These images were made in mixed media on acid-free paper by me, Jen Seron, during my first semester of a doctoral degree in education program as I chose my dissertation topic, did an initial literature search, learned with classmates and from my advisor, mentors, instructor, and peers. My lifelong interest and work in instructional design led to my desire to gain research skills, collaborate, contribute to the field, and serve in new ways.
