Art communicates visually what words cannot. This series has something to say; that is why
I am posting them even though they are only sketches in my notebooks.
During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown I had time to reflect on life, sustainability, and resilience. I am really thankful to be here with you. This art emerged as I reflected and was thankful. How do you express your thankfulness?
Aspects of my life and context are like little pieces of color, shapes, lines, and graphic elements in each of these images. Sometimes one emotion or experience is represented by a whole image. These random abstract images emerged as a visual expression of applied philosophy + life experience. Even though I cannot help but express my personal, subjective experience, I hope that through the medium of abstraction these images might also resonate with you.
What do these graphic abstract connote to you? Try making some simple random drawings of your own. What emerges? Which colors do you choose? What kind of marks do you make? What shapes? Each of us has our own visual vocabulary! Thank you for stopping by to see my art!
